On Friday, June 13, 2025, Halifax was the backdrop for an empowering and transformative experience—the Wonder Women Halifax 2025 event presented by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. The full-day event, held at the Shambhala Ballroom, provided attendees with insightful content, networking opportunities, and refreshments throughout the day.
The programming featured a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers and breakout sessions covering themes of leadership, entrepreneurship, and empowerment: Barb Stegemann opened the day with a powerful keynote address, setting the tone with her inspiring message on purpose-driven leadership and resilience.Following the keynote, attendees took part in a variety of breakout sessions led by exceptional women sharing real-world insights and actionable advice.After the sessions, the afternoon stage welcomed a thought-provoking panel featuring: Tia Upshaw, Dr. Denise Daley, Laura Whiteland, and Navdeep Parmanand—each offering unique perspectives on community impact, representation, and navigating leadership roles. To close the day, Angie Gillis delivered a moving keynote that left the audience energized and deeply inspired.

The event also included dedicated networking sessions and a vibrant vendor market showcasing local women-led businesses. Guests enjoyed coffee breaks, light refreshments, and meaningful opportunities to connect with peers, speakers, and mentors throughout the day.
